Not so long ago 3D glasses were nothing more than a fad from the 80s, a flimsy piece of cardboard that made you look like an extra from Back To The Future and they were far from stylish. Now with 3D being reinvented for the 21st century, it’s no longer seen as a flight of fancy or something that seemed like a good idea at the time. 3DTVs are selling by the lorry load now that the prices have come down, blu-ray players are coming out with 3D capability giving you the 3D experience for a very reasonable price, even Sky are jumping on board.
There is the fly in the ointment though, we have this wonderful 3D tech all modernised for the 21st century, are we really going to have to view it through embarrassing strips of cardboard with blue and red lenses? (I must also point out that they never stayed on either!) The answer is yes and no, yes the only way to view this new 3D tech so far is through glasses however, manufacturers are falling over themselves to produce the most stylish glasses out there. So much so that we could be seeing them rival Sunglasses as the fashion accessory of choice. Even Oakley are jumping on the bandwagon.
Which pair to have though? here’s a list of the best selling 3D glasses:
